For the 18+ crowd

Just a quick little post :) As some of you may or may not know, in addition to weddings I also shoot boudoir photography for select clients. While I love having the opportunity to showcase my gorgeous clients, I don’t generally post them on the main blog page, but… you can definitely check them out, all you have to do is hit that little “Ladies Only” button at the top, I hope you enjoy!

All the best,

Brian

Gaby & Jeremy’s Beach Wedding- Coronado Island, San Diego, California Wedding Photographer

I’m so pleased to show you a few photos from a recent wedding I shot in gorgeous San Diego. Now, if you stalk me at all, you might have seen me mention that I pretty much have the coolest clients ever, and Gaby & Jeremy are a prime example why… It’s not often I have as much time as I want to shoot Bride & Groom romantics, and when I asked the newlyweds how long I could steal them after ceremony, you know what their response was? “However long you want us for!” That’s one phrase most of us photographers NEVER hear so you can imagine how excited I was. But what blew me away ever more was their answer to my next question of whether I could convince them to climb the huge boulders on Coronado beach. Without hesitation I got a “We can totally do that!” Gaby & Jeremy, thank you both so much for having me down to SD to document your big day, I had such a blast with you both!

Heather & Blake – USC & Coliseum Engagement, California Engagement Photographer

I’m totally stoked to present a few of my favorite photos from Heather & Blake’s USC engagement session. I’ve been posting a few teasers on Facebook the last couple days and I’m so happy be be able to show off a few more :))) Heather & Blake are both USC alum with very strong ties to their formal college. We were lucky enough to snag the Coliseum all to ourselves, and as an added bonus even got a few quick minutes to shoot in their famous locker room. What was supposed to be a short one-hour engagement session quickly turned into almost 3 hours and I have to thank them both for being such troopers. I’m so excited to be shooting their wedding in gorgeous Huntington Beach this coming winter, so in the meantime here is their engagement!

Allison & Lowell- Marvimon, Los Angeles California Wedding Photographer

Ohhhh boy, this one might be a little long, and for good reason! I’m so excited to get up some of my favorite shots from Allison & Lowell’s totally awesome/eclectic/rad wedding at Marvimon in downtown Los Angeles. If you’ve stalked my work at all you know I like to keep it light on words and heavy on photos, but I do have to tell you about a few photos that really have some meaning for me, and hopefully Allison & Lowell. After shooting Allison and her family getting ready at The Langham hotel, I was told we were going to make a quick stop by Allison’s grandmothers room before heading to Marvimon. Allison informed me that the night of their rehearsal dinner her grandmother had had a seizure and was sent to the hospital, and now wouldn’t be able to attend the wedding. What I witnessed and had the privilege of capturing when we got to her hotel room honestly made me tear up, not to mention every family member in the room that already had.  I’ve included a few of the photos and I really have to say how incredibly touching it was to see the look on her grandmother’s face when we walked in the door, those 4 little photos are the reason I absolutely love what I do.

And now, on a different emotional note! I also have to take a quick second to say how totally awesome it was to have both Allison & Lowell’s dads be a big part of the wedding day as well. Lowell’s dad Lenny is actually the band director and saxophone player for the Saturday Night Live Band, and man is his sound recognizable! Lenny had the honor of playing Here Comes the Bride as Allison came down the aisle, such an incredible touch. Not only that, but he joined in with the live band that played during a portion of the reception, including a song specially dedicated to his wife. Allison’s dad Gordon actually made a musical appearance that night as well and sang “The Blue Hour” with the band. I wish all my weddings had musically inclined families, it sure made for an awesome evening!

One last thing I’d love to do is give a huge shout out to all the amazing vendors that came together for this beautiful wedding, there is nothing better for a bride and groom than a team that really pulls out all the stops to create an unforgettable night, thanks a ton to you all :)

OK, enough of my blabbing now, time for some photos!
